Nate Notermann, Associate Software Engineer at Kognitiv Edge, is the ultimate team player with a knack for stepping in wherever his expertise is needed. With a dynamic role that touches on various aspects of development, Nate thrives in tackling tasks requiring flexibility, creativity, and efficiency, especially in fast-paced projects needing a fresh perspective.
Before joining Kognitiv Edge, Nate developed an innovative platform for homeowner associations at HOA Director, streamlining communication and daily operations. His seamless work in front-end, back-end, and database design made him indispensable.
Previously, at HGA, Nate contributed to building custom .NET-based web applications, working closely with principal architects, in an Agile environment. He is known for asking the tough questions upfront, even if it means a bit of extra work, always focused on optimizing the product, client experience, and user experience to save time in the long run.
Nate’s academic journey includes a degree in Film Editing & Post Production, alongside formal training in full-stack software development at Prime Digital Academy. He earned an Amazon Cloud Practitioner certification and was “Team Player of the Year” at CBRE Inc. in 2020 for his collaboration and adaptability.
Outside of coding, Nate enjoys staying active through pickleball, biking, and running, while also mentoring students at Prime Digital Academy and listening to comedy podcasts.
Nate’s motivation stems from his commitment to continuous learning, both personally and professionally, and the fulfillment he finds in solving problems, whether solo or as part of a team. He firmly believes that if there’s something you want to change, with time and effort, you have the power to make it happen.
